Review: Time 4 Learning
I was given a one month trial of Time 4 Learning in exchange for an honest review. My daughter (age 4) used the program a couple of times, and she did enjoy it. I liked that it had so much variety. There were probably twenty topics to choose from. My daughter really enjoyed the program that read stories to her.
Time 4 Learning seems very educational. I appreciate the fact that it does not have a reward system like ABC Mouse. When we tried ABC Mouse my daughter became preoccupied with the reward games like shopping for her character or buying virtual toys. I would prefer to not have her motivated by things like that, much less spending time on them.
If Time 4 Learning was more affordable I might consider it, but I cannot justify $20 a month on computer learning when we have been doing just fine without it. I'm so happy that my child enjoys snuggling up to read for an hour every afternoon. I am happy that she is content to ride in the car with no entertainment from any electronics- besides the radio. I am not one to push her towards the computer.
She needs to be a young child right now- and mainly that means only a little TV or computer here and there. We don't need more. For us it is not a necessary part of our learning. If you are a homeschooler who is feeling unsure and you want some direction, maybe Time 4 Learning will help you. I would suggest signing up to review it first so you can see it before you make the investment. We are mainly an anti-technology family so it is not a good fit for us. I'm sure many others do find it worthwhile though.
